DJH Factory Built O-Gauge LNER Class A3 #2750 Papyrus Steam Locomotive

Fully handmade by DJH in its workshop in England with British model experts. One of a kind. Impossible to find on market. History of #2750: The A3 class were designed by H. N. Gresley and were a development of the A1 class with the main feature being a higher pressure boiler. No.2750 Papyrus appeared in February 1929 and was named after the 1923 Derby winner. It was chosen for the experimental high speed run from Kings Cross to Newcastle and back the same day, which took place on 5th March 1935. The return run was crewed by driver Bill Sparshatt and fireman Bob Webster and set a number of world records, including an average of 100.6 mph for over 12 miles, with a maximum of 108 mph recorded near Little Bytham. No.2750 is shown in the condition it made this famous run.
